Hey Agents, it’s time to update!
Patch 10.07 is here, and it’s packing a punch with a wide range of bug fixes across both PC and console platforms. While this isn’t a gameplay-heavy patch in terms of new features or Agent updates, it brings critical quality-of-life improvements and fixes that help keep VALORANT running smoothly. Whether you’re chasing Radiant or playing casually with friends, these improvements are bound to enhance your experience.
Let’s dive into the details!
Patch Overview
This patch is focused on stability and bug fixes. Nine different Agents receive targeted updates, with several of those changes specifically resolving issues with abilities behaving inconsistently or being exploitable. On the console side, new UI enhancements have also been introduced to improve post-game analysis, especially for players who enjoy diving deep into match data.
Also, a friendly reminder from the devs: there’s just one month left before we know who advances to Masters Toronto in the VCT circuit! Make sure you’re cheering for your favorite team!
All Platforms – Bug Fixes
Agent Fixes
Reyna
-
Ultimate Visual Glitch: A visual bug where Reyna’s ultimate ability effects were visible through nearsight abilities (like Omen’s Paranoia or Breach’s Fault Line) has now been corrected.
What this means for you: Visual clarity during fights involving Reyna should now be consistent.
Waylay
-
Refract Ability Teleportation Issues: Fixed an issue where Waylay’s “Refract” wouldn’t teleport her back correctly when activated while picking up an ultimate orb.
-
Outside Map Exploit on Abyss: Addressed a problem where players could activate “Refract” in areas outside the intended play space on the Abyss map.
-
Camera Orientation Bug: Resolved a bug where Waylay would end up looking straight up into the sky after returning from Refract if she activated it directly above the return point.
Result: Waylay mains should feel more confident using her Refract ability without the fear of it malfunctioning or sending their view haywire.
KAY/O
-
Revive Audio Glitch: Fixed an issue where the revive sound effect from KAY/O’s “NULL/CMD” would continue to play even after KAY/O was eliminated mid-revival by an ally.
Why it matters: This audio loop could create confusion for teammates and enemies alike, so it’s good to see this resolved.
Vyse
-
Wall and Smoke Overlap Bug: Fixed an issue where enemies could get stuck inside Vyse’s wall when it intersected with a smoke ability at certain times.
-
Shear Jumping Bug: Corrected a bug allowing enemies to get trapped in Vyse’s Shear if they jumped as it triggered.
-
Persistent Audio Bug: Addressed an issue where the sound effects from Vyse’s Shear would continue to play for enemies even after moving out of range or if Vyse was eliminated.
Gameplay impact: Vyse players and their opponents should notice smoother and more predictable interactions with her utility.
Clove
-
Ruse Vision Bug: Clove’s “Ruse” battlefield tactical view could be seen through certain elevated areas when equipped, giving players an unintended angle.
Fix preview: Developers have provided a visual example to clarify this fix due to its niche yet impactful nature.
Console-Specific Updates
Console players get a nice usability upgrade in this patch:
Match Timeline View
-
Players on console platforms can now access the Timeline View as part of the End of Game and Match Details screens.
-
This feature is now available for Competitive, Swiftplay, and Unrated game modes.
What it does: The Timeline View allows players to review each round of the match in detail, including key events such as kills, plant/defuse timings, and ability usage. This is a great addition for players looking to analyze their performance or team dynamics over time.
Performance and UI Tweaks
While the patch notes didn’t explicitly list broader UI or performance updates outside the Timeline feature, the developers noted that various smaller improvements have been made. Expect fewer random UI bugs, better menu responsiveness, and smoother transitions in-game and post-game.
Looking Ahead – VCT and Masters Toronto
